Trailer: Apogee’s retro-ish, cyberpunk FPS Turbo Overkill rocks Early Access today

Get ready for all-out action, as classic PC game publisher Apogee has returned, and brought a relentless FPS with it with Turbo Overkill.

Not just regular overkill

Turbo Overkill enters Early Access with eight dense, multi-layered stages, plus secret arenas, multiple difficulty settings, tons of character upgrades, and unlockable content. Five to eight hours of gameplay await even the most diehard shooter veterans, with more stages, abilities, guns, challenges, and quality-of-life features set for the coming months.

Johnny Turbo returns home to the cyberpunk hellscape of Paradise and finds that a rogue AI named Syn has seized control of thousands of augmented bodies. To take back his city, Johnny must augment his own. Rev up the chainsaw leg, reload your arm rockets, and unleash a torrent of high-powered weapons against an entire city that wants you dead—just another day in Paradise.

Apogee press release

Turbo Overkill is out now in Early Access form on Steam for the PC. It won’t be stopping there though, as developer Trigger Happy’s shooter will be rolling onto the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch for the full retail launch. Look for that later this year.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
