One of the best Warhammer games of all time is getting a sequel. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is coming up for consoles and PC.
Back to the front
Well this is a surprise, and a very welcome one. For those who haven’t played it, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine was one slick action title. Released for the Xbox 360 and PS3, the game set its action in a 3rd person perspective. With orks as it’s villains, it featured both ranged and up close and personal, visceral combat.
Now for the original’s 10th anniversary, the game is making its return with its first sequel. And while the following trailer is mostly (incredibly badass) CGI, it’s got some excellent looking in-game combat to close it out.
Embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine, the greatest of the Emperor’s warriors, with Clive Standen (Vikings, Taken) as the iconic Captain Titus. Unleash deadly abilities and an arsenal of devastating weaponry to obliterate the relentless Tyranid hordes. Hold at bay the horrors of the galaxy in epic battles on far-flung planets, uncover dark secrets, and drive back the everlasting night to prove your ultimate loyalty to humanity.
