Coming up: The games of April 2021

A solid month, April 2021 brings big names like Star Wars: Republic Commando, MLB The Show, Oddworld: Soulstorm, and more.

Decent!

Kind of odd for April, but there’s a pretty nice selection of great looking titles arriving on consoles and the PC this month. That’s a mini-tidal wave that’s actually already begun too, with Outriders.

Square Enix’ FPS has been a long time coming, having missed its original late-2020 launch remember. It seems like it’s having a bunch of technical issues now that it’s finally out too, but nevertheless if you were waiting for it, it’s here. Again though, there’s much more.

MLB The Show makes its multi-console debut (it’s on Xbox now), Star Wars: Republic Commando makes its remastered return, New Pokemon Snap shoots the Switch, and Oddworld: Soulstorm brings the sequel that was originally envisioned to life. Lots to pick from, and as usual probably not enough time to play it all.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
