While Marvel’s Black Widow film has seen a bump to November, DST’s own take on villain Taskmaster is still on target for release this summer.
Tasked with a new figure
Fairly quietly, Diamond’s Marvel Selects line has become one of the biggest lines of Marvel figures ever. It might actually be at the point now where it’s right behind Toy Biz’ various lines and Marvel Legends.
DST has created a line in it that makes use of not just Marvel’s comics, but also the MCU characters. We’ve seen movie versions of Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America, and others. Now you can add a brand new villain to the roster with the movie version of Taskmaster.
A classic Marvel villain, Taskmaster can copy the fighting ability of whoever he’s battling. He’s been used a ton as of late in the comics. And now he’ll star opposite Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in November’s big screen solo flick.
As you’ll see in the gallery too, Diamond’s take looks to be spot on.
Designed by Eamon O’Donoghue and sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios, this approximately 7-inch action figure has 16 points of articulation and comes with multiple accessories, including shield, sword, bow, arrows and alternate hands. The 173rd release in the Marvel Select line, Taskmaster comes packaged on display-ready Select action figure packaging.

While there’s no firm release date for Taskmaster just yet, the figure will be coming to stores some time this summer.
