Alterna is teaming with Terror Films for this new release, a part of Terror’s weekly horror film drops for the month of October. Every Friday you can expect a new movie from the company, which will all be landing on Amazon’s Prime service.
The Chair is the first of them, and is based on a graphic novel from the aforementioned publisher.
Here’s the skinny on The Chair:
This death row horror thriller follows the story of Richard Sullivan. Sullivan is a man on death row, struggling to escape a grisly fate. Pitted against a sadistic Warden and his crew of cruel prison guards, Sullivan is forced to confront his own horrifying past as he questions his own sanity.
Apparently the movie has been pretty well received at festivals, which is always nice to see. It’s not only garnered some acclaim, but it’s also got a cast filled with names you might know.
“Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story), Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Noah Hathaway (The NeverEnding Story), Emmy Award Winning actor Bill Oberst Jr. and Roddy “Rowdy” Piper” all star. That’s right, Roddy Piper.
The now-deceased actor and wrestler put in his final film performance in The Chair. Pretty cool. And if you’re a fan, that might make this a must-see. You can catch it tomorrow, October 5th, steaming on Amazon Prime.
