Halo Wars 2 Open Beta set to launch next week!

The highly anticipated sequel to the much loved Halo based RTS game, Halo Was 2 is set to have it’s open beta started next week according to a listing on the Xbox store.

Latest news is suggesting that the open beta for the well wanted game will start next week; June Monday 13th and will last a week, reaching until June 20th! The posting comes extremely close and ties in with Microsoft’s E3 conference also to be held on Monday, expectations are that Microsoft will officially announce the start of the Beta at their event and release the Beta for all to download and pit their straights against others. “Be among the first to experience the explosive return of real-time strategy to the Halo universe in the Halo Wars 2 Multiplayer Beta for Xbox One.” the listing reads.

The listing was found by Twitter user Lifelower. The listing can be seen for yourself by going to the Xbox profile of Xbox spokeman Harry Larb ‘Major Nelsen’ and looking into the games he follows. The game is said to have support for online players of upto 6 people and with a game size of 13GB. However there is no mention of the beta being available for PC, my hopes being they’ll announce the beta for PC come their official event on Monday.

What do you think about the recent findings? Are you eager for another Halo Wars or would you rather see it left alone? Personally, I cannot wait for this title to be released and will almost never be off the game!

Halo Wars 2 was announced last year and is being developed by the studio Creative Assembly.
