New Warcraft rocks with high fantasy and tons of action

Mages, dwarves, and plenty of action highlight this new trailer for Blizzard and Universal Pictures’ take not eh Warcraft franchise.

It wasn’t all that long ago that I thought a Warcraft movie was a kind of iffy idea. Then when I didn’t see anything on the film’s progress and it got pretty close to the projected release date, I had a feeling that it was destined to be something probably forgotten about, something rushed and kind of, well, crappy.

And now I’m a believer. Amazing what a few absolutely incredible trailers will do huh?

While we don’t know if the original story developed for the film will work or not, I think it’s safe to say that it looks spectacular and is brimming with not only special effects that put most other films’ to shame, but also an authenticity to the source material. This feels like Warcraft, and looks like it hits all the right notes as to the game universe’s lore and mythos.

As a monster Warcraft II fan, I cannot wait. Warcraft opens in theaters on June 10th.
