The closed beta for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming in just a few days, but the developer diary chatting all about the new Social Play element is viewable right now.
Social Play is just one of the new elements that you’ll get to try out in the beta for Catalyst, which is set to open up on April 22nd, and run through the 26th. With the new inclusion, Mirror’s Edge players will be able to join their buddies, and compare skills online.
On top of that, the beta will also let gamers play part of the campaign, as well as some side missions, and “optional content”- whatever that means. All this is exclusively for players who’ve been chosen for the closed beta though and there’s no assurance that there will be an ‘open’ one, so if you’re not in, well, you’re kind of out in the cold.
If you did get picked, look for your code on the 22nd or 23rd, depending on whether or not you’re a ‘Frontrunner’. And if not, you can follow along with the action on the Beta page. As of right now too, you can read a lil’ bit more on Mirror’s Edge Catalyst on the development blog. which is right here.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst hits the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 24th.
