First trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence enters orbit

It’s definitely bigger than the last one; Independence Day is back.

Big and explosive, with tons of arial (and land-based) action- yep, that’s definitely ID4 all right. I’m  a little taken aback by the more serious feel to be honest though. The first film in the series, while not a comedy by any stretch, was more than a little campy after all, though this sequel seems to have a much darker tone to it.

Looks pretty good though, and I’m more than a little interested to see what they do with the hybrid alien-human tech and what kind of a war of the worlds that’ll come out of that; should be a little different than the last one. Also, how is Brent Spiner’s character back again? Didn’t he die in the last one?
