MomoCon brings gaming giants to Atlanta this May

One of the biggest fan-cons in the US, and the biggest in the SouthEast, MomoCon is ready to deliver some gaming goodness to fans in the Atlanta area.

Hotlanta gets a little hotter this May as MomoCon brings some of gamings biggest companies down south for the largest convention of its kind in the SouthEastern US. The show will welcome in panels featuring the likes of Gearbox, Sega, and Ke “Jacky” Jiang, who’ll be talking about his time at Disney and his work on the modern classic title Journey.

And panel presentations are only a small part of what the show is set to offer, as some 130 companies will be in attendance and exhibiting at the con. There’ll also be a nice selection of 30 special guests, including “Mike Reiss, co-creator of The Critic and producer of The Simpsons; voice actors Ashly Burch, (Borderlands 2), Steve Downes and Keith David (Halo series).”

Just to spice things up a bit, this year will be the first installment of the MomoCon Indie Game Awards. Featuring 20 finalists from a pool of submissions, all games in the running will be playable on the show floor for attendees, and winners will be announced at a ceremony on the 30th.

The show will run from the 28th of May through the 30th (Thursday through Sunday) and can be found at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Can’t attend in person? They’ll have a Twitch feed all set up for you to check out, so stay tuned for that.
