The Nintendo Download brings Majora’s Mask, Monster Hunter 4 and more

It’s a big week for Nintendo fans, especially those playing on the 3DS. Not only does the New 3DS console arrive in stores, but a pair of huge games for the system land on the eShop.

‘Big’ is probably putting things mildly since The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D is pretty easily one of the most anticipated handheld games of all time and a title that holds a special place in the heart of many a gamer. I don’t think I have to get too deep in any description here, so I’ll just say this: it’s out tomorrow.

Also out tomorrow is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Publisher Capcom is looking at this newest game in the series to make the franchise a household name in the west, a market that doesn’t dislike MH, but honestly isn’t all that crazy about it either.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy + also flies onto the eShop this week along with a true classic that’s been re-cast in 3D – Fantasy Zone. And supplementing all that, there are also some new themes, some decent sales on Ubisoft games on the Wii U, and a few smaller releases for you to play around with (Breath of Fire on the VC!).

• Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D –Available Feb. 13 – In this re-mastered and enhanced 3D version of the Nintendo classic, a masked Skull Kid drags Link into the world of Termina, where the moon is falling from the sky.   • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – Available Feb. 13 – Experience big game hunting with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, available exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS system. Play alone in a robust single-player experience or join with up to three other players via a local connection or online via Wi-Fi to tackle hundreds of quests and take down ferocious monsters.   • ACE COMBAT Assault Horizon Legacy + – The critically acclaimed aerial combat series flies onto Nintendo 3DS. ACE COMBAT Assault Horizon Legacy + delivers supersonic flying, exciting dogfights and high-altitude acrobatics all in enhanced 3D. In addition, players can take control of customized, real-life aircraft with Nintendo characters like Mario, Bowser and more.
  • 3D Fantasy Zone – This classic arcade shooter was first released in 1986, and is now available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. Take command of the spaceship Opa-Opa to fight bizarre enemy invaders in this cosmic challenge.
• Nintendo eShop on Wii U

Nintendo adds new games weekly to the Nintendo eShop on the Wii U console and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the Nintendo DSi^™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and the Wii^™ Shop Channel for the Wii console.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service that features a wide variety of content, including new and classic games, applications and demos. Users can add money to their account balances by using a credit card or purchasing a Nintendo eShop Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card. All funds from one card must be loaded in the Nintendo eShop on either Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but can be used in either Nintendo eShop if the systems are linked to a single Nintendo Network account.
