Want to work on the next Borderlands game? According to Randy Pitchford, it’s “the big one”

Gearbox has started actively recruiting for Borderlands 3 (or whatever it’s set to be called) and, according to studio head Randy Pitchford, its going to be a biggie.

There’s a ton of room for interpretation in that statement of course, but it’s good to hear that Gearbox is already hard at work (in some capacity) on the next entry in the mega-popular Borderlands series. Of course, it was probably a no-brainer that there would be another adventure on the planet of Pandora since the first two were very well-recieved by both gamers and the press, and last year’s Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was a hit as well even though it appeared exclusively on the last generation of consoles (not for long).

According to tweets from Pitchford, who’s honest excitement is always just on the edge of palpable, this next game will be “the big one” and the company is looking to bring on a whole mess of new staffers for just about every position involved with making a game as you could imagine. So if you have the experience in the art form, it might be a good idea to hit up the company. You never know, you could be a part of one of the biggest series’ on consoles today.

As for that comment about the game being ‘the big one’, well, we’ll leave that up to you to decode. Though I will say this, it certainly bodes well for the legion of Borderlanders itching to get back onto that dust-ball of a planet and hunt some vaults.
