One of the more promising RTS’ on the way, Tindalos Interactive’s Etherium looks loaded with alien races and plenty of action.
It might seem a lithe silly at first, but Etherium has me excited because of the ways that it’s not a current generation RTS. The game, despite the weather-controlling element, is basically a bit of a throwback and that’s awesome for an old school real-time strat fan who’s not really into all the simplification that’s been happening in the genre as of late.
And, like I said, there are new bits and pieces in the Etherium formula as well for those who are all about the next big thing. Control over specific weather conditions, as well as an ‘over world’ map that plays out in a turn-based fashion all sound pretty awesome too.
So there’s a little something for everyone here, which hopefully turns out to be a solid game all around. So far, at least, it looks like that’s exactly what’s going to be on tap when Etherium hits the PC early next year.
