Ninjak takes center stage in Unity #5

One of Valiant Comics’ longest standing heroes to not have a standalone title (yet) in the new revamp of the publisher’s catalog, Ninjak takes the spotlight along with the Valiant U’s next big baddie- Dr. Silk.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. First came UNITY… Now meet WEBNET! Coming off of the earth-shattering repercussions of their first mission, Ninjak is leading the newly formed Unity team right back into the trenches to face the Valiant Universe’s next colossal threat – the enigmatic Dr. Silk and his high-tech terror cell: WEBNET! With the fate of untold millions on the line, can this team of cutthroat heroes uncover Silk’s endgame – and his deadly connection to Ninjak’s shadowed past?

On March 12th, the doctor is out…of his mind! Prepare to meet Valiant’s next A-level enemy when Dr. Silk triggers “Trapped by Webnet,” only in Unity #5! Featuring four limited Pullbox Exclusive Variants by Mico Suayan (Ultimate Cataclysm), Philip Tan (Green Lantern), Raul Allen (Secret Avengers), and Diego Bernard (X-O Manowar), pre-order with your local comic shop today to reserve your copy of this all-new, action-packed turning point for Valiant’s blockbuster superteam!

I don’t remember Ninjak much from the first go-around with the Valiant Universe from back in the ’90s, but there are a heck of a lot of people who do. He’s pretty easily a fan-favorite and has been a force even without a monthly book here in the relaunch.

First appearing in the pages of X-O Manowar before Aric went to the Vine’s home-world, Ninjak has made the transition to Unity as one of the lynchpins of Valiant’s first super-team. Now in Unity #5, ‘Jaks rogues gallery starts to make an entrance with Dr. Silk and Webnet. Fans of the older version of the character shouldn’t expect a rehash of the baddie though, as Silk has been re-envisioned for the modern age. And is really kind of creepy looking.

The Trapped by Webnet storyline starts up in Unity #5 and will run three issues, capping off in the seventh issue. You can grab part one when it hits the stands on March 12th from the team of Matt Kindt (who’s been nothing short of awesome in Valiant’s books) and with art by Cafu.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
