Far Cry anthology collection announced

Far Cry The Wild Expedition is coming to the UK next month.

Just announced today, Far Cry The Wild Expedition collects the original Far Cry Classic with Far Cry 2 and the fan and critical darling Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon all into one tidy box. So far, this all-inclusive set has only been announced for the UK, but it looks like a real winner for fans of the franchise.

The original Far Cry will be remastered for the set too with an HD upgrade that will bring a slew of improvements to what’s in my opinion the best game in the series.

Far Cry Classic – Far Cry Classic is the premiere and ultimate console version of the very first Far Cry game. Take the role of charter boat captain, Jack Carver, who finds himself hunted by an unrelenting team of highly trained mercenaries in this nature-gone-wrong FPS adventure. As for a US or international release for Far Cry The Wild Expedition, there’s nothing to report quite yet. The UK edition of this set will be available on February 14th (just in time for some Valentine’s gaming) and will cost you £29.99 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Far Cry Classic will also be available as a standalone game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 only and will run you £7.99. That game will be available for download just before the boxed edition hits- on February 12th.
