If you’re not familiar, Contrast is an extremely nice looking title from Compulsion Games. It’s film noire, it’s burlesque and it features the vocals of Laura Ellis.
This one kind of came out of nowhere for us here at BG, but is looking extremely impressive. Gorgeous aesthetics aside, the game also features a pretty neat little mechanic that sees players shifting in and out of a shadow dimension- hence the name, Contrast.
The trailer also features one of the tracks from the title’s soundtrack called House on Fire from the aforementioned Laura Ellis. If the rest of the tunes in the game sound anything like that, then your ears are in for a treat with this one.
Available in November, Contrast comes in two flavors (contrasting flavors?). Gamers can pick up the standard version or the Collector’s Edition which will feature a full soundtrack and 52 page digital art book. Not only pretty pictures, the book will also show comments from the development team throughout, so you can get the inside track on what they were thinking as they assembled the game.
PC gamers who order now will also receive a special 25% discount off the final price tag for the Collector’s Edition and get to download both the OST and the ebook right now. Contrast is expected to hit the PSN, PC and Xbox Live sometime next month.
