The Black Beetle looking like a pulpy good time

Dark Horse has released another tease at its upcoming Black Beetle crime comic from author/artist Francesco Francavilla.

I’m absolutely in love with this book and I haven’t even read a page yet. As a fan of old school pulp and noire (like the Shadow), I’m dying to see what Francavilla has put together for the Black Beetle. And did you notice that quote on the top right?

Praise from 30 Days of Night and Criminal Macabre creator Steve Niles is a very encouraging sign at just what it is we’ll be seeing in The Black Beetle when he finally hits stands this January. I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch to say that this is most definitely one to watch for-
