Mario Tennis Aces and more to be showcased at Nintendo Direct this week

A surprise Nintendo Direct presentation this week will cover the likes of Mario Tennis Aces, as well as additional Switch and 3DS titles for 2018.

This presentation, as usual, has zero in the way of details aside from the aforementioned. Though we do know that it’ll also apparently cover some other games. Nintendo says the Direct will have info on upcoming titles for the Switch… and the 3DS.

The dedicated Nintendo handheld had kind of been forgotten as goes new games, in the wake of the Switch. There’s good reason of that too. Remember that the Switch, despite Nintendo saying otherwise, had seeming filled the portable and home console slots for the company.

But it looks like they might not have been bluffing when they said the 3DS is still in the mix. Again though, what specifically will be discussed is a mystery. The only upcoming 3DS game that I know of off the top of my head is a Shin Megami Tensei title. I doubt that’s all we’ll see.

Could Nintendo have a surprise in store? Perhaps another remake, a’la last year’s Metroid and Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga? Stay tuned, and click back over here at 2:00pm Pacific time tomorrow for the full presentation.
