FatShark talks up weapons and enemy behavior in Vermintide

Warhammer End Times: Vermintide is the latest title set in Games Workshop’s fantasy universe. Coming from developer FatShark, it also looks like it might be the most impressive (and fun) one to come out of Warhammer in a while.

Lots to like in there. In particular, the attention to detail on not only the weaponry (which sounds great) but the characters sounds pretty great. I love that FatShark is actually trying to give the Skaven a real personality as a race, instead of just making cannon fodder that rushes you over and over again. And what they’re doing is right there and fitting with the fiction too, which is great.

And of course, I have to add in that it looks pretty nice too. As a Warhammer fan too, I’m liking what I’m seeing so far. That’s especially true since the more ‘fantasy’ of Games Workshop’s franchises doesn’t get quite the attention that the sci-fi Warhammer 40k does. Hopefully, this one will do that swords and sorcery universe some justice.

Expect to see Warhammer End Times: Vermintide hit the PC next month.
