Original Graphic Novels (OGN’s) are few and far between in this age of the ‘collected edition’, but Marvel Comics is continuing to bring them back in style.
Annihilus, lord of the Negative Zone has re-ascended to power, more dangerous and more deadly than ever before. When he and his Negative Zone armies make another, renewed assault on our universe in search of a source of infinite power, a fragile alliance of the universe’s most unlikely protectors will form to stop him.
Now the Guardians of the Galaxy, Gladiator the Majestor of the Shi’ar Empire, Adam Warlock and more must unite like never before! Only Adam Warlock’s complex cycle of death and rebirth has left him more confused than ever before. What is his purpose in the universe? Why is he here? His Infinity Watch has been reunited alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. Between these two titantic teams, they may hold the key to ending the threat of Annihilus once and for all. But to do so they’ll need to enlist the help of another.
Could it be that the fate of everything lies in the hands…of Thanos?
Such a strange mix in this book, but it looks pretty darn cool, especially if you’re an old school ‘cosmic’ Marvel fan. I mean, you’ve got Thanos of course, and then you have the Guardians, but then you’ve got Adam Warlock, the Infinity Wath, Annihilus, and even freaking Gladiator! That’s a lot of pretty awesome galactic Marvel stuff right there, in what’s the second chapter of writer/artist Jim Starlin.
Thanos: The Infinity Relativity is a full length graphic novel too, so you’ll be getting a nice chunky little story here, all wrapped up in an oversized package. Finally just about here, part two of the new Infinity saga should be on store shelves on June 3rd, with story, art, and cover illustration all by Starlin.
