Coffee Stain Studios’ FPS/Tower Defense title finally puts up fortifications on PS3.
In Sanctum 2, players take on the role of an elite soldier whose mission is to protect the oxygen-producing Cores from hordes of deadly aliens who are threatened by their existence. Enter the action alone or as part of a squad in four-player co-op multiplayer as mobs of monsters march mercilessly, each with unique offensive and defensive attributes.
The PSn release is the most up to date version of the game and includes all of the latest PC enhancements including a much asked for patch that ups tower capacity and increases the amount of bases gained by players after each enemy wave. That sounds like if makes the game a little easier, but Sanctum 2 is no pushover in any form.
It’s also pretty unique. I can’t think of any other game, off the top of my head, that mashes up the first-person shooter and tower defense genres…
Sanctum 2 is available now on the PSN in North America for $14.99 USD. The European version of the game is still on the way as well and should be arriving in the next few weeks. Sanctum 2 is also available now on the PC for that same $14.99 price point and on Xbox Live for 1200MS Points.
