Front Mission 2: Remake has a brand new Switch demo, and it’s out now

Strategic RPG Front Mission 2: Remake is coming to the Switch some time this year, but you can get a taste for it right now.

Free up some time

From Forever Entertainment comes the second in the series of remakes centering on the classic strategy RPG series, Front Mission. Like the first game in the new set of titles, Front Mission 2 Remake looks like a full modernization of the 90s original, serving up classic gameplay framed by great looking modern visuals. And if you played the first one to death and you’ve been hotly anticipating the second, then we’ve got some good news for you.

Out right now on the Switch is a demo for Front Mission 2 Remake, which allows players to get in on the first two missions of the full game. But that’s not all, as players also get the option to explore the garage (where you can upgrade your mech), and “access to the Network system” during intermission.

The impoverished People’s Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic decline due to 2nd Huffman Conflict, which created widespread discontent among citizens.

Twelve years after the events of Front Mission 1st, on 12 June 2102, coup d’état led by Ven Mackarge began. On this exact day, three main military bases and the parliament in the country’s capital city were attacked and taken over. The O.C.U. responded to the attacks by sending their army to free Alordesh from rebel hands.

Follow the O.C.U. military squads, ‘Muddy Otters’ , ‘Dull Stags’, and ‘O.C.U. Ground Defense Force Intelligence Agency’ and monitor the situation in this country torn apart by a ruthless civil war.

Forever Entertainment press release

The full Front Mission 2 Remake is coming to the Switch on October 5th, 2024, but again this demo is out right now to tide you over. And yes, no worries, as your saves will carry over to that full release if you pick it up.
