Fans awaiting more of Bandai Namco’s upcoming Tekken 8 should be happy with today’s drop. Take a look at two new trailers, and some fresh info.
A classic returns
There’s still quite a bit that’s under wraps when it comes to Bandai Namco’s next fighting epic, Tekken 8. That’s to say, outside of the fact that the title will continue the tale of the Iron Fist, and the Mishima family.
Today we got a decent amount more on the game though, including the reveal of a returning fighter with Nina Williams. A classic Tekken combatant, Nina has pretty much been there from the beginning, and for every installment thereafter. She’s easily a fan favorite too.

Nina Williams is bringing back her smooth and deadly fighting style inspired by various martial arts. As a trained assassin, she’s also armed with weapons to help defeat her foes in style. For TEKKEN 8, the development team has completely reworked Nina’s character model for new-generation game platforms. Her moves and techniques are also enhanced, including introducing new abilities to fit with the philosophy of “aggressiveness” in the game’s new combat system. Nina Williams joins previously announced characters in TEKKEN 8 that include Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Jack-8, and Lars Alexandersson.

Attack aggressively
Along with the Nina reveal trailer, Bandai Namco also dropped a special dev diary. The video goes a bit more into detail on the game’s actual gameplay, and the new focus on “aggressive” play.
Now you might think that all fighting games have that automatically, and that’s something that the publisher acknowledges. What’s meant by the tag though, has more to do with ‘aggression’ as a theme.
