Fresh from the height of The Clone Wars comes Hot Toys’ take on Star Wars’ light armored AT-RT walker and ARF Trooper. Here’s your first look.
Bow Wow
Absolutely rolling is Hot Toys, with its line of 12″ Star Wars figures and vehicles. From the clones of The Bad Batch to the Swoop bike, it’s been a pretty fantastic string of announcements. And now you can add one more to that, with the official announcement for the AT-RT and ARF (Advanced Recon Force) Trooper.
A killer looking pair of figures, they represent both the latest in the company’s line of vehicles, and another expansion for the 501st Legion. As usual, and although the designs are inspired by The Clone Wars animated series, they’re adapted for a live-action look. And of course both are packed with detail.
The ARF Trooper collectible features a newly crafted helmet with detachable antenna and face plates, plus distressed armor painted with their signature blue markings. The figure also comes with a blaster rifle, a blaster pistol, a pair of binoculars, and a variety of hands to allow for a range of poses.
The stunningly crafted 1/6 scale 501st Legion AT-RT stands at approximately 25.1″ (64 cm) tall and is painted with the battalion’s signature blue markings and 501st markings with weathered effects. The AT-RT features realistic wires and also has over 16 points of articulation, including articulated mechanical legs, grip, and blaster cannon.
Sideshow Toys press release
While you can pick up both of these bad boys in a bundle, the AT-RT is also available separately. So if you really don’t want the ARF Trooper, you can skip him and just grab the walker.
The set of two is priced at $435 USD, while the solo AT-RT is priced at $290. Both are expected to ship some time over the 4th quarter of 2023 to the first quarter of 2024.
