Rocket League Hoops, a basketball update, is now live

The much anticipated basketball update is rolling out right now.

According to a tweet from Psyonix’s twitter account, the update started rolling out at around 7:00 p.m. EDT.

The free part of the update includes an all new way to play rocket-based sports: basketball. A premium flag pack of NBA flags will also be available for purchase.

Hoops promises to add something all new for those who have grown bored with the game since its initial launch last year. I still play Rocket League very frequently, and a new mode is all I need to justify booting the game up on a more regular basis. Basketball offers the perfect draw for folks who may have been interested in the game but are not interested in soccer.

Rocket League is developed by Psyonix and is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is wholly worth the $20.00 price tag.
