MARVEL Cosmic Invasion debuts the Sensational She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon

Adding to its already impressive cast is MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, with announcements of She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon.

Another exciting side-scrolling beat ’em up on the way, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is looking awesome. The upcoming title hails from Dotemu and developer Tribute Games, which should be enough to get any genre fan excited. Remember that those are the companies behind the excellent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

Need more incentive to get psyched? How about a cast that includes Marvel comics icons like Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and even Venom. That’s not even the whole announced cast, and the game is still making reveals as well, just like the ones that came across today at Summer Game Fest. Those, as you can see above, were for the Sensational She-Hulk and the Guardians of the Galaxy’s Rocket Raccoon.

Along with the new playable heroes, today’s trailer also includes more looks at the Sentinels, a brief shot of Thanos in a somewhat regal guise, and a glimpse of classic X-Men foe Sauron. Naturally too, all of the above are delivered in the iconic 90s Marvel Comics style.

Debuting in lush, hand-drawn illustration channeling ‘90s era MARVEL comic books and character designs, She-Hulk and Rocket Racoon unleash unique attacks and abilities while joining the playable roster. She-Hulk forgoes litigation, grappling and tossing enemies with her gamma-powered might. Rocket Raccoon, a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, commands a mastery of firepower – and thanks to his penchant for sporadically lobbing grenades, he’s MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’s most chaotic fighter yet.

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion doesn’t have a release date just yet, but fans can expect to see it arrive some time this year. Look for it on the PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5 and Xbox.
