Hot Toys’ take on Spider-Man 3’s black costume is almost here, and Sideshow has an unboxing

It’s Bully Maguire time. Well, time for a full reveal anyway , as Hot Toys’ adaptation of Spider-Man 3’s black suit is coming up.

Whether you loved what director Sam Raimi did with Spider-Man 3, or you weren’t crazy about it at all, you still kind of have to admit that actor Tobey Maguire’s ‘evil’ Spidey was as memorable as it gets. Infected with the iconic alien symbiote, the actor’s happy-go-lucky web-head took on a darker (in some comedic ways) tone, eventually earning the nickname ‘Bully Maguire’.

And if you dug that flick at the time, have grown to love it, or just are enamored with the classic Spider-Man trilogy, you might want to check out toy-maker Hot Toys’ Spider-Man (Black Suit) figure. Retailer Sideshow just shared an unboxing for the yet to be released piece, and it’s looking as spot-on as we could imagine.

The Spider-Man (Black Suit) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys is expertly crafted based on the appearance of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man / Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 (2007). The figure features a new hand-painted headsculpt with Hot Toys’ rolling eyeball system, allowing fans to adjust the gaze, and also comes with an interchangeable masked head. Spider-Man’s symbiotic black suit has been faithfully recreated and features detailed texture with raised silver webbing patterns. Spidey comes with many accessories, including alien symbiote arms and a head with protruding tongue, a Spider-Man mask, and assorted spider-web accessories.

The Exclusive Special Edition includes an additional symbiote alien head for even more display options. 

The Deluxe Version comes with a diorama figure base displaying the alien symbiote terrorizing Spider-Man in a crumbling structure, recreating the thrilling scene at the bell tower.  

A Special Edition of the Deluxe Version also includes an additional alien symbiote head as bonus item.
