QuakeCon’s BYOC returns with new ticketing options and four days of action this August

The yearly QuakeCon event is back once again, set to bring fans a show filled with festivities, and whole lot of BYOC.

Is it that time already? Well, no it isn’t, but it definitely isn’t too early to at least start talking about the yearly Texas event that is QuakeCon. This year’s show will be kicking off on August 7th and will run through Sunday the 10th. Aside from the usual goings on, it will also have a pretty big focus on BYOC.

For the uninitiated, “BYOC” stands for Bring Your Own Computer, and is a kind of old-school multiplayer LAN party. While QuakeCon (almost) always hosts the happening, this year’s event will see some new ticketing options. Fans can still grab a QuakeCon 2025 Fan Ticket for $25 USD, but now there’s also a trio of additional options, especially for BYOC.

Standard, Group, and Elite passes are all on the docket there, with each offering a little more for those looking to take part. While all three will get you a seat at the table, so to speak, the Group option is best for those arriving in a group of six or more, and the Elite level actually serves up a monitor-loan option and more.

Anything other than the Standard will also get you the ability to “stay and play” on the Wednesday night before the con actually starts. So there are definitely a few slick options present, for those who don’t mind spending up.

Registration for QuakeCon 2025‘s BYOC actually starts today, with a lottery for those looking to buy the $400 USD Elite level passes. From there it’s on to April 10th for Group registrations, and the 15th for those looking to get in at the Standard level.

Here’s the breakdown:

Monday, March 24 – BYOC Elite Lottery Submissions Open 
Enter your name for a chance to purchase one (1) of these coveted Elite tickets. If selected, you will have the opportunity to purchase this top-tier ticket unlocking all the perks, exclusive swag and priority privileges. Enter for an opportunity to purchase one of these tickets from Monday, March 24 – Sunday, March 30 at 11:00pm ET.

Participants selected from the lottery will have until April 6 to purchase their tickets. Enter your information here for a chance to participate. 

Thursday, April 10 at 4 P.M. ET – New! BYOC Group Registration Opens  
New in 2025, attendees can keep their crew together with Group BYOC tickets. Group tickets include all standard BYOC package perks, plus early access to seat selection and an exclusive stay and play evening on Wednesday, August 6! Gather your clan—Group tickets start at a minimum of 6 seats!  

Tuesday, April 15 at 4 P.M. ET – Standard BYOC & Fan Ticket registration opens  
Returning for the second year, Fan Tickets allow attendees to participate in the Tabletop gaming area, tour the BYOC, sign up for tournaments and join in the fun over the weekend. Fan Ticket access to QuakeCon 2025 covers 8am – 1am Thursday – Saturday and 8am-3pm on Sunday.
