Season one of Dune: Prophesy getting a physical edition this May

Fans liking to add to their real-world libraries will be able to grab a boxed copy of Dune: Prophesy: The Complete First Season this spring.

The trend continues

Yes, indeed the trend of streaming shows getting disc-based releases does indeed roll on, and we’re more than here for it. In this case, it’s the packaging of one of the most highly anticipated television events in recent years that we’re talking about, with the first season of Dune: Prophesy.

Originally airing on Max, the show hails from showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker, and is based on the Sisterhood of Dune novel (published in 2012). It’s also set in the movie-universe, but before the films take place, with a cast that included Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong and others.

Dune: Prophesy: The Complete First Season is set to hit retail in May, bringing all six episodes to fans. Of course, that’s not all that’ll be included, as the pack will also offer up “over an hour of bonus content including 5 extended featurettes and an all-new, never-before-seen featurette exclusive to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD”, according to Warner Bros Discovery.

From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, DUNE: PROPHECY follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. DUNE: PROPHECY is inspired by the novel SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
