Finally, Warhammer 40K: Darktide is coming to the PS5

Well this one’s been a long time coming, but Warhammer 40,000: Darkside is finally coming to the PS5, and very soon.

The tide is rising

We kinda can’t believe that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide wasn’t out on the PS5 already, but it wasn’t. From Fatshark, the multiplayer game was originally released on the PC in 2022, followed by the Xbox edition at the end of last year.

Fans on both platforms were able to team up to dive into an Imperial Hive World’s dark underbelly in the midst of a Chaos uprising. There they had to face down waves of cultists and other assorted horrors without the power of Space Marines behind them. Not that squads were all underpowered, as mighty Ogryns were also playable.

If you liked what you saw, the PS5 edition of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming up fast, and is set to release on December 3rd. Yep, in just a few week’s time. It will be labeled as PS5 Pro Enhanced too, so if you picked up the new PlayStation, you’ll get some perks.

That new version will make use of the DualSense’s haptic feedback, and tout both Performance and Quality modes. The former will offer “60FPS on a 1440p resolution” and fans will get “30FPS on a 4K resolution” while using the later.
