NYCC ’24: Tour Jada Toys’ video game properties, with Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Cyberpunk

Continuing to make a splash in the action figure arena, Jada had its full Street Fighter lineup on hand at NYCC, and much more.

Looking great

We have to admit, we’ve been nothing but impressed with what Jada Toys has produced over the last few years. The company had been known for mainly die-cast cars historically, but has absolutely knocked it out of the park with action figures of Capcom’s Ultra Street Fighter.

We’ve gotten a look at a bunch of Storm Collectibles pricy Street Fighter figures over the years, but Jada’s much less expensive offerings can arguably stand toe-to-toe with them in terms of sculpt and articulation. They’re also smaller than that line, roughly in a 6″ scale, a form-factor that collectors tend to gravitate towards.

The only downside really is that it has been a little slow going in completing the classic Street Fighter lineup. Thanks to a series of recent launches however, fans are finally starting to see their shelf filling out. To that end, Jada has the full collection on hand at NYCC this week, including more than a handful that have yet to see store shelves.

Needless to say, we’re excited to get our hands on these new World Warriors.

Mega, man

Continuing with Capcom licenses, Jada has also started putting out Mega Man figures. And much like with its Street Fighter line, it’s another home run. It might be even cooler actually, since we haven’t seen Mega Man toys at all for ages, and to get ones this well-done with top flight articulation and appropriate accessories… well it’s pretty fantastic.

As you can see there, new waves of Mega Man figures are breaking free of the original game, with Snake Man, Wood Man, and more. We just can’t get enough of these, so we’re hoping that Jada is planning to complete at least the first three games’ rosters.

Cyberpunk is next up

While the above lines are rolling now, with new releases in the pipeline, Jada is expanding its sphere a bit with CD Projekt Red‘s Cyberpunk. A game that originally was met with derision, Cyberpunk has been improved quite a bit since launch, and even was acclaimed to large degree thanks to the Phantom Liberty expansion.

One thing it hasn’t had though, are toys. We’ve seen a few here and there for sure, but Jada’s will (hopefully) be the first real lineup of action figures to see shelves. Of course, being Jada, the line looks to be starting slow with an initial four figures on the way.

If it’s supported well enough though, that’ll hopefully expand. Scroll down to see what’s on the way.
