Yet another hard-hitting trailer has arrived for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, showcasing the battle against the Tyranids.
War. War has arrived
Well if you’re a Warhammer 40K fan, this is probably a day that you’ve been waiting for. That’s because, while it’s been out for a few days in some forms, the mass market edition of one of the best-looking titles in the property’s history is here. Of course, we’re talking about the base version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Dropping today for both consoles and the PC, Space Marine 2 brings the Ultramarine known as Titus back to the front, this time against a swarm of Tyranids. Titus has been busted down to Lieutenant from Captain, and now sports a somewhat mysterious backstory.
But don’t worry, because there’s all-out action as well as narrative to dig into. This is Warhammer 40K after all.
Across all modes, embody the brutality and superhuman skill of a Space Marine as you fight against the worst the galaxy has to offer. Smash xenos skulls in close combat with superhuman strength and a flesh-sundering chainsword. Unleash heavy weaponry with the power to decimate whole battlefields and annihilate the enemies of Mankind. Combine the two in a whirlwind of bloody combat as you bring victory for humanity.
Focus Entertainment press release
Along with a full solo (or co-op) campaign, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 also brings a host of additional play modes to the table. Namely, there’s a tied-in PvE mode, as well as full multiplayer versus, all highlighted by a heavy dose of customization (for the multi) and tons of weapons to wield. That’s not even mentioning the post-launch roadmap either, which will eventually deliver DLC loaded with new enemies, weapons and more.
Ready to take the fight to the Tyranids? Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. And while there is that base edition available, the full season pass is packed in with both the Gold and Ultra editions of the game.
So if you want to be playing in Games Workshop’s grim universe for a while, you might want to think about grabbing one of the latter.
