The Transformers panel was hopping at last week’s SDCC, unveiling two new crossover figures and loads of Studio Series’.
Yeah, we’re gonna need an Agent Knight
While there were some other Hasbro brands that took the glut of the headlines (including ours) at Comic Con, the Transformers presentation was absolutely fantastic. Fans got treated to a bunch of new figure reveals, including two more of the popular Collaborations. Those would be fan-favorite Autobot Kup as Sgt. Slaughter’s Triple T, and Agent Knight, a new character who transforms into Knight Rider’s own KITT.
Kup is a part of that existing Joe/Transformers lineup and comes complete with both the Sarge and Leatherneck. Agent Knight doesn’t come with any Joes naturally, but he’s KITT. For fans of the classic TV sho, which gets really no collectibles, we’re going to say that’s kind of enough.
TRANSFORMERS COLLABORATIVE G.I. JOE X TRANSFORMERS AUTOBOT KUP TRIPLE T

The Legacy line continues
For those who prefer a wholly Cybertronian experience, the Transformers Legacy line is indeed continuing, though it got the smallest spotlight at the Con. Only one figure 2pack was revealed there, including both Bludgeon and Rukus.
Bludgeon is a big time favorite of Decepticon fans of course, though this version doesn’t look a heck of a lot like the character has traditionally. Still, it’s a slick pack, and both figures have cool looks that should fit in nicely on fans’ shelves.

Studio rolls on
A mainstay in the Transformers toy line at this point, the Studio Series could almost be its own thing. Featuring multiple branches, the Studio Series covers any and all Transformers films, so we’re talking about the Bay movies, Bumblebee, and even the classic Transformers animated flick.
As such, there are a lot of options for Hasbro to explore, and we’ve gotten a good chunk of the biggest characters and some niche stuff too over the last few years. But even though there’s been a ton of figures made to this point, don’t expect Hasbro to let up any time soon.
And from what was shown at SDCC this past week, we’re glad to say there are plentiful options left on the table. That includes the first Studio Series figure to feature the ’86 film’s Optimus Prime.
