SDCC ’24: Transformers, Star Wars, GI Joe and more are all on tap for Hasbro

Back once again this year, Hasbro is planning out a big SDCC, with plenty of panels and a G.I. Joe Classified HasLabs reveal.

Usually one of the biggest and most impactful presences at Comic Con International every year, Hasbro will naturally be back once again in 2024. This year, fans can expect to see a full spread too, with a booth on the show floor (complete with “toy store”), pop-up events, and a monster collection of panels.

If it sounds like a big show for the toy-maker, it comes across that way for us too. Not that Hasbro hasn’t always done a bang-up job with SDCC, because that’s pretty typical, but it strikes us that there’s more this year than there usually is.

In addition to the usual assortment of licenses that the company will have on hand, it sounds like the upcoming Transformers One feature film will be a star. If you’re unfamiliar, TFO takes the property back to its origins on the mechanical planet called Cybertron, before the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. To that end, there’ll be a special two-pack of action figures up for sale, and a full panel centered on the brand with some new reveals.

And not to be outdone, another huge element for Hasbro at 2024’s SDCC will be G.I.Joe. The massively successful G.I. Joe Classified line will be present in its own panel, where the team behind the toys will formally introduce the latest Joe HasLab, crowd-funding item. It’s heavily rumored that it will be a 12th scale Cobra Rattler, but that’s not even close to definite. Like with Transformers, there’s an exclusive item that’ll be on hand, with Cobra Commander from the animate movie. Yes, “was once a man”.

HASBRO BOOTH #3213
