Nintendo Download: Places, Everyone, for Princess Peach: Showtime!

A huge week for the Switch sees the arrival of MLB The Show, South Park: Snow Day, and Nintendo’s own Princess Peach: Showtime.

Showtime

the calendar might say “March”, but Nintendo’s Switch sure feels like Christmas. That’s because, after pretty much months of ho-hum drops, the console is getting three big games this week, along with the usual ton of smaller launches. And leading the way, naturally, is Princess Peach: Showtime.

Nintendo’s latest in its premier “Super Mario” franchise might be a spinoff, but it seems to have the pedigree none the same. Fans will find the oft-kidnapped Princess in the main role this time around, as she takes on the villainous Grape and the Sour Bunch, who’ve taken control of a theatrical world. To defeat the vile baddies, Peach will don a number of special outfits that grant her abilities like sword fighting and martial arts.

As mentioned though, that’s just the start this week, as baseball season is about to kick off. We’re not talking about the real-life season either, as Sony’s MLB The Show ’24 is once again appearing on Nintendo’s console. The game that is pretty far and away the best hardball title out there right now, MLB: The Show ’24 should offer up pretty much everything that the PS5 and Xbox versions do, just in a visually-scaled back, and portable, form.

And finally this week, there’s South Park: Snow Day. Announced not all that long ago, Snow Day is the latest video game title to take advantage of the long-running cartoon show. Mainly a co-op adventure, this new South Park adventure allows fans to make their own “New Kid”, as they save the world… and enjoy a snow day with no school.

Want more? Well as mentioned, there’s also the ton and a half of smaller releases this week. Scroll down and take a look at the full listing, you never know what might catch your eye.
