The acclaimed Pentiment arrives on Switch this week, along with a demo for Contra, and the remaster of Star Wars: Dark Forces.
Well that was fast
Yep, the first of Microsoft’s Xbox titles to make the leap to a ‘competing’ console is here, with Pentiment. An RPG from Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios, Pentiment sends players back to old Bavaria for one of the most stylish looking and well-received adventures in recent years.
But wait, because if that’s not your thing, then there’s a good chance Nintendo has something else this week that might be. there’s are a few demos arriving on the Switch, which include one for the hotly anticipated Contra: Operation Galuga. If you’re not aware of what that is, Konami’s newest stab at the legendary IP takes the action back to where it all began, with a classically styled game that features modern looks.
And then of course, there’s Dark Forces. From the retro-masters at Nightdive Studios, Star Wars: Dark Forces remaster is a full re-presentation of the classic PC and console title. If you’re a fan of this legendary FPS, it’s looking like it might be required playing.
On top of all of the above, there is the usual selection of smaller releases too, and this week that’s a lengthy list. Scroll down to check it all out.
