NASCAR Arcade Rush races onto consoles and PC

Breaking into the world of arcade racing is the NASCAR license today, with the release of NASCAR Arcade Rush.

What a rush

When you consider the ‘racing’ genre, there are really two ends to it; sim and arcade-style. And though the real-life world of NASCAR racing has traditionally been lodged firmly in the former, today it careens onto the off-the-wall tracks of the latter.

From GameMill Entertainment, NASCAR Arcade Rush brings one of the biggest motorsports in the world to life as an arcade racer with all the trimmings. According to the publisher, that means “jaw-dropping twists, hair-raising turns, gravity-defying jumps, nitro boosts and other surprises”.

Although the game brings a cartoony look and feel to the raceway, it’s still got a number real-world locations to race. Fans of the sport can blast through the Career NASCAR Cup Series, Quick Race, and Time Attack modes on Talladega Superspeedway, Daytona International Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Martinsville Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and others.

You won’t be constrained to just modern vehicles in racing those modes and tracks either, as NASCAR Arcade Rush pulls cars from “75 years of stock car racing history and horsepower”. Feel like customizing those rides? Well you can do that too, with optional car parts and driver gear.

NASCAR Arcade Rush is out today for the Switch, PC, and Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
