NASCAR Arcade Rush speeding to the starting line next month

Fast-paced action comes to the track, as NASCAR Arcade Rush is set to speed home with a new September release date.

Usually a playground for simulation fans, the NASCAR license will be put to decidedly different use by GameMill Entertainment next month. That will come to consoles and the PC in the form of an arcade racer, aimed more at fast-paced and off-the-wall action that you’d normally have found only on a standup cabinet.

If you normally shy away from NASCAR-licensed stuff, but love a good old fashioned arcade racer, this is a title you might want to keep an eye on.

Experience the thrill of NASCAR racing in a completely new way with intense arcade races on iconic NASCAR tracks, totally reengineered with jaw-dropping twists, hair-raising turns, gravity-defying jumps, nitro boosts and other surprises. Customize your car and driver as you compete to take the top position across a variety of game modes, including the Career NASCAR Cup Series plus online and local multiplayer.

GameMill Entertainment press release

NASCAR Arcade Rush will feature real-world tracks like Talladega Superspeedway, Daytona International Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Martinsville Speedway, and Homestead-Miami Speedway, but of course in new ways. Right there with the locales, fans can expect some classic vehicles, with cars that’ll span the 75 years of the title organization’s history.

You’ll be able to customize those cars and your drivers, with available “paint schemes, rims, spoilers, visual effects, suits, helmets and more, with thousands of combinations to discover”, according to GameMill. After you’re done with that, you can take your ride to the track, for both single-player action, or with up to 12 players for some online competition. Couch-base multiplayer modes are available as well, though only for consoles.

Interested? NASCAR Arcade Rush will come in both standard and Project-X editions, with the latter including a bunch of extra content. Those who buy into the NASCAR Arcade Rush Project-X Bundle will get:

  • A hovercraft car model developed as part of Project-X
  • Project-X paint scheme, rims, wheels and spoiler
  • Project-X themed drivers suit and helmet
  • Project-X team sponsorship option
  • Project-X vehicle FX package
  • A set of four additional in-game emojis to showcase your style

Look for the above to hit on September 15th, for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC.
