Dimension Shellshock DLC launching with new update this month, for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge

Turtles fans, it’s almost time to dive back into Shredder’s Revenge. The Dimension Shellshock DLC has been dated for this month.

OoooowwwwwwShellshock

Dotemu and Tribute Games’ mighty Dimension Shellshock DLC pack is finally dated, and is set to drop on August 31st for all versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. More than just a ‘survival mode’, Dimension Shellshock kind of has its own tale to tell, plus a new hero in Miyamoto Usagi.

But as was just revealed today, there’s even more. Along with Usagi, former Foot Clan big shot Karai will be joining the fight as well. Featured as a playable hero, she’ll be included in Dimension Shellshock.

Dimension Shellshock brings two new playable fighters to the forefront of the action at launch later this month. Karai joins the razor-sharp Miyamoto Usagi, star of the Usagi Yojimbo comic book series and a fan favorite ally to the Turtles seen in previous cameos across the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesanimated series and action figure releases. Karai’s signature snark brings a bite to the fight alongside her deadly skills with her swift ninjutsu strikes. With Karai at your side there’s no stopping the Turtles as they kick, punch and party their way across the various new worlds in Dimension Shellshock’s rift-jumping battles.

The full DLC packs a punch for fans at launch featuring a new Survival game mode, fresh original music from the soundtrack’s composer Tee Lopes, and alternative color schemes for playable fighters. Survival Mode introduces collectible crystals that allow you to jump from dimension to dimension, each with its own unique look and feel.

Dotemu press release

Now, that a lotta stuff. But if you wanted even more, you’re in luck, because there’s also an update that’s set to land day and date with the DLC. While it won’t have new characters, the update will offer “an additional range of color palette options for all main game owners”. So there you have it, plenty of new reasons to dive back into Shredder’s Revenge, and all of it coming to round out this month.

Just in case you were somehow unaware too, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is out now for Xbox and Playstation platforms, plus the Switch, and the PC.
