There’s a superstar coming to Capcom’s Street Fighter 6, and it’s the WWE’s own Thea Trinidad, better known as female wrestler Zelena Vega.
Vega you say?
There’s apparently a very good reason why WWE wrestler Zelena Vega shares the surname of one of M. Bison’s elites in the Street Fighter series. Namely, that he’s her favorite character in said set of fighting games.
The grappler, who’s real name is Thea Trinidad, opened up about her SF fandom just as Capcom revealed she’ll be a part of Street Fighter 6. While she won’t be an actual character, she will be one of the voices that’ll narrate your bouts.
“I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighter,” said Thea Trinidad. “I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favorite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honored and thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Street Fighter 6 is the first fighting game to incorporate announce teams, and will feature vocal work from a selection of eSports luminaries. Other than Trinidad, those include color commentators H.E. Demon Kakka, and James “jchensor” Chen. On the flip side, play-by-play will include Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Ryutaro “Aru” Noda, Kosuke Hiraiwa, and Steve “TastySteve” Scott”.
Street Fighter 6 is set to arrive on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC (via Steam) on June 2nd.
