Just in time for a few days off, one of the biggest spectacles of the year has made its way to the Paramount’s steaming service with Top Gun: Maverick.
That’s a kill
Was there a bigger action movie in 2022 than Top Gun: Maverick? Starring Tom Cruise, Maverick brought the IP back from really nowhere, finally hitting the big screen after seeing multiple postponements due to COVID. Turns out that was a great move, because just as the world was waking back up, Maverick cleaned-up.
The movie soared to 1.488 billion at the box office, becoming the 11th biggest film of all time. Think that proved that the movie theater is still a viable way of watching your favorite blockbusters? You bet. But even so, movies can’t stay in the theaters forever, and that brings us to… now.
Yep, Top Gun: Maverick is indeed streaming, available right now, and exclusively via Paramount+.
After more than 30 years of service as a top naval aviator, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot. Yet, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past when he returns to TOP GUN to train a group of elite graduates and comes face-to-face with Lt. Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his former wingman, “Goose.” Bitter rivalries ignite as the pilots prepare for a specialized mission, which will require the ultimate sacrifice from those chosen to fly it.
