“The most dangerous race in the world” reruns with TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3

If you dig moto racing, then you’re going to want to check out the latest from RaceWard Studios’ latest, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3.

Taking it to the edge

Here’s a story for you, it’s the tale of rider Davey Todd. The trailer you’re about to check out was made to showcase the skills of Todd, an experienced Isle of Man TT Races rider. What’s so cool about that? Well, how about the fact that Todd actually used his brother’s copy of a past TT Isle of Man game to train for a race?

That was in 2018, and the game reportedly helped Todd “perfect his knowledge of the circuit”, over the course of two months of play. It seems to have paid off too, since he became not only 2nd in the game’s overall leaderboard, but 2nd in terms of newcomers… in the actual race.

Check it out:

The Isle of Man TT Races takes place on a 60km (37 miles) course where riders and their overpowered bikes take incredible risks to try and win the ultimate prize: being crowned champion of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. TT Isle Of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 includes the official content of the 2022 TT (teams, bikes and courses) and offers a unique and authentic experience. The game features 32 different circuits, including current and historical courses, nearly 40 Superbike and Supersport motorbikes and riders, and upgraded physics. Controlling cornering and braking requires more precision than ever, and motorcycle upgrades gives players the tools they need to achieve maximum performance.

NACON press release

Along wit the above, there’s also a brand new feature in TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 called Open Roads. You can probably imagine what that is, and you’re probably right. Open Roads is a free-roaming feature, that basically lets you cruise the roads of Man, looking for points of interest and challenges. Those include “online competitions as well as weekly and monthly events”.

As for when you’ll be able to do all of this stuff, that’s still a ways off. TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 is slotted into a May 2023 launch for the PC and Switch, as well as Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
