Trailer: Baldur’s Gate III officially launching in August ’23

Out in Early Access for a while, Larian Studios has announced that Baldur’s Gate III will be officially emerging from Early Access on the PC this August.

With the above trailer, Larian has revealed not just the August 2023 launch, but a few key details. For one thing, some classic Baldur’s Gate characters will be returning with Minsc and Jaheira. On top of that, we also got to see the titular city for the first time. So if you’re a long time BG fan, you should find plenty to like here.

And then there’s that CE

With the full retail release, Baldur’s Gate will be getting a Collector’s Edition, and it’s seriously tricked-out. No really, this one’s packed.

• The Collector’s Edition includes:
  • Mindflayer vs. Drow Battle Diorama
    • 1,100g, 25cm battle diorama of Mindflayer and Drow locked in a deadly exchange of blade and psionic might. This Collector’s Edition statue is made from high-quality PVC/ABS plastics and features a finely painted, hand-finished, round scenic base depicting the subterranean realm of the Underdark.
  • Hardcover Art Book
    • Explore the art and design of Baldur’s Gate 3 in this hardcover art book, written by Larian. Featuring approximately 160 pages of concept art and environmental design inspired by the Forgotten Realms.
