A special presentation from Activision will reveal what’s to come for one of the biggest FPS franchises next week, with the debut of Call of Duty: Next.
You’re next!
Call of Duty: Vanguard is wrapping up, and we’re on the eve of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare II, and now Activision has announced Call of Duty: Next. No, it’s not a game, but a digital presentation that will showcase what’s on the way for the staple first-person shooter franchise.
But before you start thinking that the publisher is already talking about 2023’s edition, this show will be mostly about Modern Warfare II. See even though we’re pretty close to the game’s November launch, we don’t really know all that much about it.
Multiplayer, for example, hasn’t really been touched yet. And even though 2022’s online play is likely to be pretty similar to past games’, there are sure to be a few new inclusions.
And to that end…
The franchise showcase event titled “Call of Duty®: Next” will feature new details on Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare II multiplayer, as well as the upcoming Modern Warfare II multiplayer beta, the new Call of Duty®: Warzone™ 2.0 and Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Mobile.
Activision press release
September 15th will be the date to mark on your calendars, with Call of Duty: Next kicking off at 10am pacific time. Look for it via pretty much all of Activision’s online channels and outlets.
