Good Shepherd Entertainment and Ice Code Games’ horror-filled western is back. Hard West 2 brings more maniacal strategic action next month.
Rough and tumble
This seems like something of a surprise. Maybe it’s just me, but I was under the impression that Hard West 2 was still a ways off. But either way, here we are with an announcement that it’s actually set to debut in August.
And from the looks of it, it’s shaped up very nicely indeed.
The latest trailer highlights some of the various human and supernatural adversaries players will encounter, such as the curse-casting Shadow Blackeart or the toxin-barfing Demon Hellspawn that can target an entire crowd.
The game’s expansive, character-driven story is brought to life by the voice talents of Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series), Darien Sills-Evans (Days Gone, League of Legends) and Adam Gifford (The Colony, Batman: Hush), plus a score by BAFTA Award winner Jason Graves (Dead Space, Tomb Raider) and story co-written by Origins Awards winner and New York Times bestselling author Matt Forbeck (Deadlands).
Good Shepard Entertainment press release
That ghost train is pretty awesome. Actually, if you like horror and supernatural themes, there’s a ton to like in that trailer, a good deal of which looks like it might be based on actual folklore. Add in strategic, turn-based gameplay, and you just might have a winner on your hands.
Check out Hard West 2 when it debuts on the PC, via both Steam and GOG, on August 4th.
