It’s Summer Sale time at GOG, as Sega joins the storefront

Kind of a double-barreled big deal today, as GOG kicks off its summer sale, and also announces the arrival of publisher Sega, with Alien: Isolation.

Yes, it’s that magical time of year once again, and really one of the best things about the summertime, as goes gaming. Internet gaming retailer GOG has kicked off its summer sale, and it’s looking to be pretty packed with the good stuff.

It all starts with a giveaway of the adventure classic Sanitarium, and a pretty lengthy list of specials.

Let’s start the journey with the 1st of 5 planned game giveaways with Sanitarium – the 1998 classic that will give you shivers even on the hottest days of the summer. This immersive psychological horror game is available for grabs right now on GOG’s front-page till Wednesday June 8th at 1 PM UTC.

But wait, there’s more! Aside from the sale, and included in it, is none other than Sega. The iconic publisher has arrived on GOG for the first time, with a collection of titles from throughout its history. It starts though, with the modern classic Alien: Isolation.

A game that brings the horror series back to the original film, AI traps players in a space station that’s falling apart, and up against a single xenomorph. No pulse rifles here, this one’s all about creeping horror and stating away from the title monster. Click here to check out our review of the game at launch.

Getting back to the sale though, it’s set to be a lengthy one. GOG says fans should expect three weeks of deals, loaded with stuff, both new and old.
