Out for other platforms for a while, Ziggurat Interactive’s Real Heroes: Firefighter HD has finally brought its blazing hot action to the Xbox.
Backdraft
Video games have covered just about every kind of topic and situation over the years, both reality-based and fictional. But when you think about it, there’ve barely been any ‘firefighting’ games at all. Off the top of my head, I can think of Ignition Factor on the SNES, and that’s about it.
But then came Real Heroes: Firefighter. Available on the PC, the game brought with it first-person action and lots of real-life tools of the trade. That same title was then repackaged in ‘HD’ format, and now it’s landing on the Xbox.
If you remember this story from a ways back, it’s because Firefighter HD was originally set to debut on the Xbox One in the fall of ’21. Of course, as should be obvious by now, that never happened and the title slipped into 2022.
But the wait is officially over, and you can dig in against a series of towering infernos right now on the Xbox One. As you’ll see in the launch look below too, the game is looking spiffy in 4K, and includes a pretty big name voice cast.
Included are the likes of James Marters, Jack McGee, Michael Jace, Jamie Kennedy, and Jenette Goldstein.
