E3 2021: First trailer and gameplay look for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

If it wasn’t spoiled for you in the leak, then you might be pleased to know that there’s a new Mario + Rabbids title on the way with Sparks of Hope.

Just a spark

While it kind of sounds more like a charity organization than a video game, the followup to Nintendo and Ubisoft’s first Mario + Rabbids title is indeed real and on the way. Subtitled Sparks of Hope, the game features the return of the crossed-over gang, along with more of the strategy gameplay that made the original a hit.

This time of course, there’s a new story to play through, and it looks like a brand new villain as well. It certainly seems as though Sparks of Hope will have more of a Super Mario Galaxy theme to it too, as you’ll be heading to different worlds on your quest to save the stars.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it’s expected to hit the Nintendo Switch some time in 2022.
