Actor Keanu Reeves’ enigmatic Johnny Silverhand plays the main role in Night City Wire episode 5. Check out Cyberpunk 2077’s main music man.
Mechanized music
With Cyberpunk 2077 finally on the horizon (we hope), we’re seeing a slight increase in creator CD Projekt Red’s “Night City Wire” mini-docs. We just had one that showed off the game running on new and old Xbox hardware, and now we have another. This one might be a bit of a bigger deal too, since it focuses on none other than Johnny Silverhand.
If you don’t know who Johnny is, well you probably haven’t been paying attention. But just in case, he’s a rocker in the world of Cyberpunk, and plays what looks to be a big part in the game’s main storyline. Oh, and he’s played by Keanu Reeves too.
The new episode of Night City Wire takes a deep dive into the character, and also features a look at a new tech called Jali. The fresh technology allows for a new kind of localized lip-syncing. Interesting stuff.
Additionally, CD Projekt Red is talking about the game’s soundtrack. I guess that’s fitting, given the nature of Silverhand.

Ready for more Cyber-tunes? CD Projekt has you covered. The company has just released the score for the game, loaded up with a six-pack of tracks that will give you 22 minutes of listening.
As for Cyberpunk 2077 itself, that will allegedly be along very shortly as well. The game is expected to hit the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia on December 10th. Next-gen upgrades should be along some time in 2021.
