Super-limited, autographed Spawn figure coming to Walmart

I have a feeling collector’s haven’t seen anything yet in terms of stuff selling out fast. Spawn is coming back to Walmart, and this time he’s autographed.

Spawning a collector’s item

It’s been quite a time, hasn’t it? Aside from all of the insanity going on in the real world, the collector universe has been a mess. Botched launches seem to be the norm now, as things start going ‘exclusive’ to various retailers. We’ve seen stuff selling out faster than fans could even place orders as well, thanks to the ever-present plague of bots.

Well, get ready for another one, and one that might be the toughest yet to actually get ahold of. Todd McFarlane is launching a special, super limited version of the already tough to find Spawn figure from the Mortal Kombat 11 line.

This new Spawn looks to be a reissue of the second revision in what’s been a series of running changes the company has been making to the figure. That’s the one with the mace, if you forgot.

So what makes him different? Well, that’d be the gigantic “Todd McFarlane” hand-signed autograph across the front of the packaging, and the included “certificate of authenticity sticker”.

There will only be a thousand of these produced, and yes, they are exclusive to Walmart. As for when you’ll be able to take a stab at buying one, that’ll be this Friday. Sales kick off at 2pm eastern time, on August 7th. The figure will cost you $59.99 USD each.

If you want one, I’d advise logging in ahead of time, and making sure your payment info is up to date. You’re going to need every second you can get.
